Featuring the SMC-1000TC
As for those who can still remember our first issue of SMC Newsletter released last August 2009, we featured our new SMC machine model, the DTC series.
SMC always respond to customers’ need, hence, the SMC-1000TC (single station – small, horizontal machine) was developed for our Russian customer. This 1000TC machine is the first small and single station horizontal machine built by SMC. Like all horizontal machines, SMC-1000TC is built to accommodate multiple cavities (with quadruple head, CD70mm). Its design is slick and is a space saver.
The SMC-1000TC machine is equipped with Directional Valve Control. Its Clamping Force is equally distributed to the center of the Clamping Platen thereby providing better clamping force application. This machine is user friendly, robustly built and designed to last for longer life span. SMC-1000TC machine is built with “European Standard but with Asian Price Tag”.

SMC Personnel undergoes Resin Training
Under Strategic Partnership Project with SMC Corp. Ltd. and PTT Chemicals, a two day seminar was arranged for SMC personnel in two batches (one day for each batch), regarding information on PTT Resins and the fundamentals of Resin processing. It was held last February 19 and February 24, 2010 respectively. The seminar has provided refreshing knowledge to SMC personnel on plastic materials and basic materials processing information.
PTT Chem. was kind enough to send Mr. Sophon Chinpong, their Corporate Marketing and Commercial Policy Department Adviser, as the Guest Speaker in the seminar. Information on different types of resins, its key specifications, properties, characteristics, and processing conditions were discussed. The knowledge learned during the seminar was vital for SMC Personnel in giving advices to Plastic Converters as to the best and suitable Resin materials to use for their product processing.
SMC Personnel will never stop learning about plastic materials, its processing methods and new machines technology to provide better services to all SMC’s beloved customers.
